Announcement for Employer Matching gift program:

I’d like to provide a quick overview of the Employer matching gift program which is applicable to the pledged families in our Church, or anyone donating to the Church. 

Many companies match dollar for dollar the charitable gifts their employees make - some will double or even triple match the donation, which is a terrific way to contribute to a cause & make a greater impact in your community. Employers will typically NOT match contributions given for religious purposes. However, our Church is an eligible nonprofit that serves the community by feeding the hungry, providing financial help to the sick, and building homes for the poor. Many major corporations have already confirmed that your pledge donations are eligible for the employer gift match. These matching gifts are usually very generous - a single company can sometimes give anywhere from $1000-$5000. Once the program is setup, the matching gift is automatically provided every year when you give your pledge. Some companies even provide matching gifts for your community service volunteer hours at the Church. At certain times, such as Giving Tuesday on Nov 29 this year, some companies may even double the matching gift.

Best of all, you get a bonus – every year, you get to decide how your matching gift should be used – perhaps a SVDP or Raising Hope project to help the poor & helpless, or a Joseph Father’s project build a house.

On the screen here, you can see 11 companies that are currently setup for matching pledge payments to our Church. This information is also listed on our Church website. If you work at any of these firms, please contact the Trustees & we can setup the match very quickly. Otherwise, please contact your company’s human resource department to find out if it has a matching gift program. To help with this process, the Trustees will send out an Employer information form that all parishioners can complete. The Trustees & I will also be available here in the Church this afternoon at 1pm to answer any questions that you may have on this gift matching program.  

A quick reminder that we also have the Amazon Smile program that donates a percentage of your amazon purchases to a Charitable organization such as our Church. You just need to start your shopping at smile.amazon.com.

We also have a clothing drop box on the south side parking lot, so if you have any new or gently used clothing, please drop it there.
